Adidas have gained another International convert as Manu Tuilagi the 22 year old England and Leicester Tigers centre has discarded his Puma Boots for Adids RS7’s in Blue and Yellow. Tuilagi has worn Puma for the last few years but could be seen in the Adidas against Ireland when he came on as a substitute.
We were a little surprised that he opted for the RS7 due to it having a Sprint Skin Upper which is totally different from the k leather that his old boots were made from. The move has come at the perfect time for Adidas as they are the manufacturer of all the British & Irish Lions kit and Tuilagi must have a good chance of being in the tour party. The boot he is wearing is the: Adidas adiZero RS7 III Pro TRX SG Rugby Boots Blaze Blue/Yellow
There have been a couple of other former Puma players making the switch to Adidas RS7 III in Scotland winger Tim Visser and Baths‘ rugby league convert Kyle Eastmond.
RS7 III Specification
As well as a Sprint Skin Upper the boots also feature a Sprint frame that is an incredible 50% lighter than all other regular TPU outsoles, a Hybrid sole plate which utilises a combination of moulded and screw-in studs for optimal grip and traction across soft natural surfaces and the inclusion of Adidas’s Sprintframe outsole construction which is designed to improve stability and reduce the weight of the boots.
