McCaw & Carter Extend adidas deals

This morning in Christchurch, All Blacks Richie McCaw and Dan Carter were at a local mall to sign a new deal with adidas at their adidas store.

The two players will continue to be ambassadors for adidas until 2016, both McCaw and Carter have been signed to adidas under individual contract agreements since 2004, they’ll continue to be involved in the design and development process for the products each player is most closely aligned with, for McCaw the FF80 and Carter the Incurza.

Carter said of the deal; “I’ve been sponsored by adidas for ten years and to continue that for another four years is very exciting. Having the opportunity to work with such a great company, I’ve been able to have that interactiona and give feedback in to things like the All Black jersey and the boots we wear and for that to be able to continue for a few more years is exciting.”

McCaw is currently on a sabbatical from rugby and Carter is recovering from a hand injury, so neither player will represent New Zealand in this weekend’s 2nd Test against France at Christchurch’s AMI Stadium.

adidas have been principal partner of the All Blacks and New Zealand Rugby since 1999 and have a current deal that will continue until at least 2019.
