Nike are set to unveil the latest incarnation of their iconic speedboot with Friday’s anticipated release of the Mercurial Vapor IX.
Featuring a lightweight Teijin upper the boot hugs the foot for a superior fit, a fact enhanced by the perforated sockliner which contributes to the undeniable comfort of these innovative boots.
The full-length TPU outsole offers explosive acceleration and multi-directional grip, while twin heel studs ensure the Mercurial Vapor IX is perfectly suited to a wide range of natural surfaces.
Initially Nike will launch two distinctive colourways, in Fireberry/Red Plum/Electric Green (pictured at top), and Sunset/Total Crimson/Volt (above). Inspired by the surface of a golf ball, the Sunset colourway displays the dimpled surface which was designed to increase friction between the boot and the ball when kicking.
