Julian Savea joined some of world rugby’s greats when he slipped on Adidas’s RS7 boots for his All Blacks debut on Saturday.
Savea was sensational in his first outing in the black jersey, scoring a hat-trick of tries and cutting an impressive figure on defence, and his lime green boots only served to highlight his imposing presence on the field.
Also worn by international superstars Sonny Bill Williams, Ma’a Nonu and Brian Habana, the AdiZero RS7 II Pro SG boots are adidas’ lightest rugby boots ever, and were designed to enhance speed and agility.
Using the very latest technology the Sprint Skin Upper was specifically developed to cope with the demands of rugby, while its foot hugging shape provides strength and stability. A combination of both soft and firm ground studs give wearers optimal grip, and the boots are compatible with Adidas miCoach software, allowing uses to place a tiny chip in the boot to monitor time, speed, and distance covered.
