A First Look At The Puma Evospeed Rugby Boots

The latest Puma Evospeed boots are among the lightest on the market, with acceleration and speed being two of the key driving factors behind the design of the boot.

Puma also targeted a precise fit and feel with the new Evospeed range. The EVERFIT cage which makes up a part of the inner structure does this with a web print that helps improve the fit and foot to boot connection for better peripheral awareness. The Evospeeds also come in hard and soft ground versions with specific stud configurations.

The molded one piece DUOFLEX soleplate wraps from the toe to the upper heel, providing a flexible, yet stable platform that helps the speed aspect of performance that Puma were so intent on delivering with the Evospeed.

Along side a modernized version of the famous Puma strip is a textured region spread over the toe region that aids kicking.

Usain Bolt, one of Puma’s highest profile athletes, and the fastest man ever to run the face of the earth has had an influence on many of Puma’s latest designs. This is evident with this new speed-inspired range which certainly look and feel the part.

We’ll have more to add on the Evospeeds after they’ve seen some real action and been put through their paces out on the field.
