New RS7 IV Rugby Boot
Earlier this year German brand adidas released their fourth-generation RS7 boot coming with an all new design and colourway officially dubbed Blue/Tribal Blue/Running White.
Designed for wingers this silo is the lightest rugby specific boot ever created by adidas, their brand new adiZero RS7 Pro rugby boot brings lightning fast speed and agility onto the rugby field. Headlined by Wales and the British and Irish Lions’ George North the new RS& Pro registers in at a supremely lightweight 242g (UK size 8.5), the new RS7 is engineered from lightweight SPRINTSKIN upper which is light, softer and stronger than all other synthetics.
To maintain a slim and minimal figure the RS7 has used a SPRINTFRANE that is incredibly 50% lighter than all other regular TPU outsoles. Although light, strength and stability are not compromised with the midfoot support reducing injury risks through its hollow core construction. Pictured above is the firm and soft ground editions.
For devastating performance across the surface, a combination of traditional screw-in and triangular moulded studs are spread across the forefoot and heel. This sole plate has already proven successful on the adiZero footwear series, providing more grip without adding weight to the boot.
Designed to make a fresh impression on the rugby pitch, a vivid solar blue gradient is captured across the upper and sits aside a crisp white look whilst the signature adidas three stripes take on a navy application. Far removed from the traditional look you would expect, this latest RS7 model nonetheless makes for a blazing look from every angle.
