Andy Ellis Debuts Nike CTR360 Maestri IIIs

Andy Ellis donned Nike’s latest creation, the CTR360 Maestri III for Canterbury’s second round clash with Auckland in the ITM Cup, as the four-time reigning champions got their campaign back on track with a 33-11 over their bitter rivals.

Just released, the Maestri III, in stunning yellow, black and white colourway, utilises durable KangaLite synthetic leather for a softer, lighter finish. The moulded sock-liner provides added cushioning and new levels of comfort, while kickers will benefit from the textured surface on the exterior of the boot, designed to increase friction and enhance connection with the ball. Nike have also employed asymmetrical lacing to create the largest possible surface area.

While Ellis seems to have been surpassed in the All Blacks pecking order by new-comer Aaron Smith, he does have a World Cup winner’s medal to his name, having taken the field in the final and helped close out the home-sides narrow victory over the French. An integral part of both the Canterbury ITM Cup side and the Crusaders, Ellis was born and bred in Christchurch, and has some intriguing pass-times, one of which is a penchant for gardening, a hobby in which he has received nationwide acclaim.
