Brent Tate and his Puma EvoSpeeds
Brent Tate’s super season came to an end with defeat at the hands of the Sea Eagles during week two of the NRL playoffs, but the durable back had been a vital cog in a Cowboys’ machine that played some scintillating football at the business end of the 2012 season.
Tate’s often-underestimated speed was no doubt enhanced by his decision to don Puma’s EvoSpeed boot, a boot design specifically for pace, with World and Olympic 100m Champion Ussain Bolt having a big input in to the EvoSpeed footwear series.

Easily recognisable thanks to a distinctive neck brace he wears as a result of serious injury early in his career, Tate has enjoyed an illustrious career, and is lauded for his professionalism and consistency.
Embarking on his professional career with the Brisbane Broncos and claiming a premiership title with them in 2006, Tate then followed brother-in-law Steven Price to the New Zealand, where they played alongside each other with the Warriors.
Now at the North Queensland Cowboys, Tate has also been a member of several Kangaroos sides, and a regular fixture in Queensland’s champion State Of Origin team.
