Brian O’Driscoll customises adidas Predator Incurza boots!

Winning the Six of Nations for the second time, departing Ireland captain Brian O’Driscoll wore a customised pair of adidas Predator Incurza boots in his last ever match for his country.

The Ireland and Leinster star took to the field with personal touches to the boots adding the letters ‘BOD’ by hand on the upper and ‘A & S’ on the embroidery. Also embellished on the front of the boots were the names of his wife Amy and daughter Sadie. The customised boots featured a dark blue upper with gold trim on the adidas stripes, embroidery and branding while the colour’s of Ireland (green) was featured on the rubberised zones and studs of the boot.

Other touches of personalisation appears on the embroidery where his club side ‘Leinster’ is featured beside ‘Ad Astra’ which is Latin for ‘to the stars’ that is the wording on his club UCD’s crest. O’Driscoll said,

“I’ve worn adidas Predators for over a decade now, so when adidas asked me if I wanted to help them design a custom pair of Predators to mark my final home test for Ireland, I was really keen to get involved.”

O’Driscoll added, “What was very special was the fact that I could add such personal touches the boots with words and letters that are so important to me, but to be able to handwrite some of these was extra special.

“When designing the boots I took inspiration from the colours and styles of my favourite Predators over the years, as well as the various teams I’ve played for.”

Brian O’Driscolls career spanned from 1999 to 2014 where he became the highest try scoring Irish player and most capped International player of all time. O’Driscoll overtook Australia’s George Gregan with 140 caps for Ireland.
