Cameron Smith and Nike’s CTR360 Maestri III
The release of Nike’s new CTR360 Maestri III has come just in time for Melbourne Storm skipper Cameron Smith, as the inspirational hooker tries to lead his time to NRL glory in the 2012 finals series.
Smith donned the Maestri IIIs for the last few rounds of normal season play as Melbourne sought to revive their early season form in time to capture the NRL title.
The Maestri III utilises ultra-soft Kanga-lite synthetic leather for a light yet durable finish, whilst the moulded sock-liner enhances comfort and fit.
Resplendent in bright yellow, black and white, the Maestri III utilises a texture print on the outside of the boot aimed at increasing friction and enhancing contact with the ball when kicking, while the asymmetrical lacing has created the largest surface area possible on the front of the boot.
The Brisbane-born Smith is currently the captain of the Australian national side and the Queensland State of Origin side in addition to leading the Storm. Having spent his entire professional career with the Melbourne-based side, Smith has already captured two NRL titles, in 2007 and 2009, and is looking to add a third in a bumper year which saw him take over the Queensland captaincy on a permanent basis following the retirement of Darren Lockyer.
