Canterbury Phoenix Rugby Boots

Phoenix, now on its third generation, is Canterbury’s offering for the back rows and second rows. Arguably the toughest of rugby positions, with the second rows being the engine of the scrum and the back rows using inexhaustible energy to win the tackle, ruck, maul, and back pass balls, the locks, flankers, and number eights need all the reinforcement they could get to sustain their herculean physicality. From the ashes of these gruelling conditions came the birth of Canterbury’s Phoenix 3.0, the tough battle tested rugby boot that is also lightweight enough to allow the back and second rowers to soar high in their performance.

Key Points for Canterbury Phoenix 3.0

The TPU soleplate has eight 13mm metal studs designed for the purpose of getting soft ground traction. Adding to the stability is the 3D moulded heel counter.

Internally, the Phoenix 3.0 is made comfortable by the EVA footbed, internal foam cushioing and mesh lining, and neoprene stretch tongue construction with internal straps.

The upper is textile mesh-based reinforced by a TPU skin.

A cheaper Phoenix 3.0 without the neoprene stretch tongue is also available. The upper here is purely a laminated TPU skin.
