Chris Sandow And His Nike T90 Laser IVs
Chris Sandow donned Nike T90 Laser version IV’s as he helped guide the resurgent Eels to yet another post-Kearney win, the cellar-dwellers downing fellow Sydney-siders the Roosters 36-22.
Designed for power and accuracy, the latest version of Nike’s T90 Laser features lightweight Teijin synthetic leather and 5 innovative ‘instep pods’ to maximise power and connection with the ball. Shape-correcting memory foam at the top of boot creates a more consistent surface, and raised TPU swerve fins on the medial side aid control over the balls trajectory and angle.
The off-centre lacing creates a larger surface area for striking the ball, while the forefoot flex groove enhances the flexibility, comfort and arch support of the boot.
Sandow became the pin-up boy of the Parramatta Eels this season when he moved from the Rabbitohs on a 4-year deal reportedly worth approx. $2million, but his presence has failed to generate the results the trophy-starved club was looking for. Their form throughout the season was so dismal that Kiwi-coach Steve Kearney was fired three-quarters of the way through, sparking a flourish of positive results which suggest the Eels could be a force when the 2013 season kicks off.
Sandow made his first-grade debut for the Rabbitohs in 2008, and was an integral part of the Russell Crowe-owned side over the next 2-3 seasons. During that time the Rabbitohs, the competitions most successful side of all time, turned around a decade of poor form and financial strife, and they are now genuine title contenders. The Eels, a similarly proud club, will be hoping Sandow can help them achieve similar results in the coming seasons.
