Cooper Cronk’s New Kicks

Cooper Cronk played Origin two and three in a pair of custom Puma PowerCat 1.12s with designs based on the Maroons colour scheme by Melbourne artist Sekure D.

Cronk’s contribution to Queensland’s 2012 campaign turned out to be far more important then was first expected. With Jonathan Thurston continually under pressure by the Blues defense, it fell to Cronk to help direct his side and structure their attack.

In game three it was Cronk’s accurate passing game that allowed Thurston to run a ghosting line around a cleverly disguised second man play that led to the talented Maroon’s play-maker to break the NSW line for the first time in the entire series.

The custom Puma PowerCat 1.12s reflect the Maroons colours across the toe and laces, with a contrasting white heel, and the Puma logo against a background of gold accents, plus grey shading faded over the strike pads. All of which combine to create a truly stylish and striking boot.
