New adidas next-generation FF80 Pro II
Earlier this year adidas released their second generation of FF80 boots first released in two colourways dubbed White/Solar Blue and Black/Running White/Solar Blue.
Powering across the game line and ready to tackle anything on the rugby field, the adidas FF80 II rugby boot is headlined by New Zealand’s Kieran Read and Ireland’s Peter O’Mahony. Designed for flankers and number eights the boot features a durable synthetic upper ensuring a strong feel across the foot which delivers comfort from the moment you slip them on.
Every aspect of the adidas FF80 has been engineered to increase traction in scrums, rucks and mauls; allowing loose forwards to be faster to the breakdown and provide a solid platform for explosive acceleration. The FF80 is truly defined by the inclusion of an extra stud positioned under the toe of the boot. This small and subtle addition delivers improved stability, traction and power as you launch yourself across soft natural playing surfaces.
Any boot which has a dominance of white on show is always going to be either embraced or loathed. With the FF80, adidas have successfully created a clinical design which unites the white with black and solar blue for a look which means business. Expect to see these new FF80 II boots in the Six Nations Championship at the start of February next year.
