Francois Hougaard Sports Bob Marley-inspired Pumas
Versatile Springbok Francois Hougaard certainly stood-out on the weekend, despite being unable to help his team to victory against the All Blacks in Dunedin. Having worn Nike boots during the Super XV competition he opted for Pumas for the International arena, sporting Limited Edition green EvoSpeeds with a bold design inspired by Bob Marley.
Piggy-backing on their huge profile in Jamaica (Usain Bolt is one of the biggest names in Puma’s stable of athletes), they enlisted the talents of Musician/Designer Cedella Marley (Daughter of Bob) to create the unique colourway.
As well as the stand-out design the boot, dubbed the Puma evoSPEED 1 C.M., boasts a monolayer microfibre synthetic upper for enhanced comfort, and a new internal EverFitCAGE to provide greater stability.
A mix of conical studs and blades make this a versatile boot suitable for a wide variety of surfaces, while the evoSPEED one-piece sole-plate helps make this one of the lightest boots on the market.
