Ma’a Nonu swaps to adidas adiZero RS7 Black/ High Energy Orange Rugby Boots
Ma’a Nonu who joined the Auckland Blues along with other star names for the 2012 season was with the stuttering Hurricanes in 2011 and part of the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby World Cup Winning squad. He started the season in the RS7 Prime Blue/Electricity and helped the Blues to win in his first game. Unfortunately things have gone down hill since and they languish at the bottom of the Super 15 table. Ma’a has looked to a boot change to improve his fortunes and has opted for the latest addition the the adiZero range the RS7 II Rugby Boots Black/High Energy Orange.

The RS7 Rugby Boot has been launched following the success of the AdiZero Football boots, they are Adidas’s lightest ever Rugby specific Boot
The Striking zone of the Boot features a Synthetic Print to help improve control when kicking the ball, importantly this includes in wet conditions.
The Heel of the Boot has a Synthetic Print on the inner lining to help prevent slippage, this makes the boot easy to break in and make it great fitting boot.
Adidas has used a Sprint frame for the RS7 Pro boot that is 50% Lighter than all other regular TPU Outsoles, this with Strong and Permanent midfoot support for stability and also helps injury prevention through lightweight hollow core construction The sole features a mix sole plate using the rounded studs and Moulded studs
This has been added for maximum traxion without increasing the weight of the Boot.
These boots also have the ability to carry the adidas miCoach which will provide you with the capability to easily measures time, distance, speed, speed zones and number of sprints during training or a match. This can then be downloaded on to a pc or iPhone application to be analysed, but you will need either the PC/Mac version or IPod/IPhone which are sold separately to these boots.
