New colourway helps Farrell to new record
Saracen’s Owen Farrell provided Nike with the perfect advertisement for their Tiempo Legend IV boots, wearing the new colourway as he struck a Heineken Cup-record ten penalties to guide his side to a crucial victory over Racing Metro on the weekend.
The Tiempo Legend is one of the most advanced boots on the market, with the soft kangaroo leather contributing to increased comfort levels and the lightweight TPU outsole ensuring stability and balance. Farrell had been sporting the bright blue Legends but donned the new colourway, in black with bold lime highlights, for the clash in France on the weekend.
In the critical Group One clash it was the hosts who played the more expansive rugby, scoring three tries in the first half to take a 25-15 lead in to the sheds. But Farrell’s incredibly accurate boot kept the scoreboard ticking over for the visitors, who defended stoutly in the second spell to secure the 37-28 win and a six-point lead at the top of their group.
