Paul O’Connell could be seen sporting a new pair of Adidas boots for the British & Irish Lions in Hong Kong.
The skipper for the match against the barbarians had another outstanding performance in the heat and humidity that was Hong Kong. Was this performance enhanced by his new special Adidas adipower Kakari Boots? We think maybe yes as the stud range gives a good grip on surfaces like that experienced in HK. Whatever Paul celebrated the occasion with a well worked try in the drubbing the Lions gave to the BaBaas.
A fine touch that we feel sure Paul will have liked is his name on the side of the boots never have trouble finding his own, plus the shamrock on the left side of the heel and British & Irish Logo on the right.
Expect to see a lot of these boots during the tour as if O’Connell continues to play with the energy and power he showed in Hong Kong he must be a good option for the test teams. He get a well earned rest for the midweek opener in Australia against Western Force in Perth on Wednesday 5 June which is televised in the UK on SkySports at 11:00
