Petero Civoniceva 300th First Grade Match
The Brisbane Broncos’ legend Petero Civoniceva played his 300th first grade match in a pair of Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elites, along with a pink playing strip as the Brisbane team showed their support of the Women In League Round.
The Tiempo Legend Elite FG boot design suits a forward such as Civoniceva, who combines quickness off his line with brute force and power. And even though he may look ageless on the paddock as he demolishes his younger opponents, he’ll no doubt appreciate the Molded EVA sockliner with PORON® inserts which provide a contoured heel and arch support, making them a more comfortable, boot and him a more effective player.
Civoniceva played the bulk of his 300 matches for the Broncos, and also represented both Australia and Queensland, with his rep career still very much active with his inclusion in this years Maroons campaign. The giant prop, who started his career in 1998, spent a four year stint with the Penrith Panthers where he was made captain of the side, and continued his excellent form. It was rumored that he agreed to leave the Broncos to allow them room to remain under the salary cap, with the promise that he’d be welcomed back in the future.
The 36 year old front rower will retire at the conclusion of this year’s NRL competition.
