Sam Tomkins Deep Down-under In X-Blades

Sam Tomkins who sports X Blades Sniper ST Rugby Boots will soon be seen down-under his move to the NRL has been a major topic of conversation for months and now we have it he is to Leave Wigan Warriors for NZ Warriors. Now that was a surprise, we figured one of the top Aussie outfits would snap him up, but it was the Warriors who came up with the package to entice him. So 2014 and we will probably see him in a new version of the boots lighting up the NRL

Tomkins moves with a record fee which is said to be more than the current £450,000. So Wigan Warriors 2013 and New Zealand Warriors 2014. This now takes him out of any switch to the Union code at least in the next three years.

Tomkins has made a name for himself at both club and international level, he is the reigning Super League’s Man of Steel and in 2012 surpassed a career total of 500 Super League points. Last year also saw him become England’s all time rugby league record try scorer, a feat which the 24 year old should grow as he continues to set the rugby world alight.

Tomkins will not be playing down under until February 2014 as he has this campaign to complete with the Super League semi-finals this weekend and hopefully final to follow. Warriors already hold the Challenge Cup. We can then see him in October at the Rugby League World Cup.

the but With the Rugby League World Cup beginning at the end of October and the NRL not starting until February, Tomkins will be looking to settle in amongst his new team in time for the new season as the Warriors look to build on a rather disappointing campaign by their standards having finished 11th last season.

Others making the move down under are; Wigan prop Lee Mossop, Warrington forward Mike Cooper and Leeds Rhinos teenagers Jordan Baldwinson and Mason Tonks.
