Under Armour Magnetico Control Pro Rugby Boots

Directly coming from the Pro line, the Magnetico Control builds on the successes of the previous Magnetico Pros with its technological additions to take the Pro line to the next level. Using a black base, the Magnetico Control Pro displays an orange elongated spiral design that fully extends end-to-end from the lateral going to the medial, covering the entire forefoot in the process.

Key Points for Under Armour Magnetico Control Pro

The upper is of 360° construction and applies the FormTrue technology. The FormTrue is a 1.1mm Wallaroo, a very thin synthetic leather material that is extremely supple, easily conforming to the shape of the foot and drastically enabling a barefoot sensation with ball contact. Compared to the Magnetico Pro, the Magnetico Control Pro is beefed up a bit using a toe cap and ridged spiral texturing that gets more pronounced on the medial's Match Control pass pad, supposedly bringing some amount of ball control. Internally, the Magnetico Control Pro has an auxetic layer that forms around the foot as well for a precise, sock-like feel and fit, and an anti-microbial ortholite sock liner for underfoot comfort and breathability.

The lightweight transparent chassis for the soleplate flexes to the foot's natural movements when running, making it easy for a player to dart into any direction. The soleplate screams speed and agility as it houses 12 conical studs with all of them placed near the edges of the soleplate. A single slanted blade just outside the midfoot adds to the boot's traction. It also has two curved blades circling around the toe area and somehow resembles the toe agility zone of the Hyper Precision outsole of the Nike Phantom VSN 2.

No fretting needed for those looking for an ankle cut version of the Magnetico Control Pro as it has an MD version featuring a one-piece knitted collar and tongue.
