In accordance with their sponsorship deal the All Blacks, to a man, sported adidas boots on the weekend, as they kicked off their 2012 Championship campaign with a 27-19 win over the Wallabies in Sydney.
Dan Carter debuted the new colourway for the Predator Incurza, which is a silver, red and black version, while halfback Aaron Smith had the original black, lime and royal option on.
Outside backs Israel Dagg, Hosea Gear and Corey Jane all wore Lime and Blue RS7 IIs, as did Ma’a Nonu, while Sonny Bill Williams choose the white and red version of the same boot.
The most notable footwear decision of the night was made by loose-forward Liam Messam, who started the game in a pair of Predator Incurzas, a boot designed specifically for players who are required to kick the ball, then swapped at half-time in to a pair of black RS7 IIs.
The whole tight five, of Woodcock, Mealamu, Owen Franks, Whitelock and Romano opted for the Kakaris, a boot developed with mauling and driving in mind, while Richie McCaw and Kieran Read donned R15 IIs.
