Will Genia and his adidas Predator Incurzas

Influential Wallabies’ halfback Will Genia’s international season came to a premature finish last weekend, suffering a season-ending injury in Australia’s much-needed win over the Springboks in Perth.

Wearing adidas’ Predator Incurza boots, Genia was, unsurprisingly, an integral part of the Wallabies performances, donning the captain’s armband in the absence of James Horwill and David Pocock and thriving under the added pressure.

The Predator Incurza is adidas’ most technologically advanced boot. Designed with kickers in mind, two special zones on the instep of the boot, the Sweet Spot and the Precision Zone, greatly enhance a player’s ability to connect effectively and powerfully with the ball, while the asymmetrical lacing increases the surface area.

Compatible with adidas miCoach, the synthetic print on the inside of the boot means the Incurza is incredibly comfortable, while a robust sole-plate makes it sturdy and durable.

Genia’s status as the world’s number one halfback is virtually unchallenged, having been the stand-out player for both he Queensland Reds and the Wallabies over the last few seasons. In combination with Quaid Cooper they led the Reds to their first ever Super Rugby crown in 2011, and his loss to the embattled national team is yet another blow to coach Robbie Deans’ chances of holding on to his coaching job.
