X-Blades on display in NRL
Although they’ve been around since the late 80’s, with their innovative designs and their commitment to revolutionizing football boots, X Blades are currently going through a huge popularity spike, a fact in evidence on the weekend as the final round of pre-season matches played out in the NRL.
A host of players donned the Australian-designed and developed boots in the traditional Charity Shield clash between the Rabbitohs and the Dragons, including hard-nosed forward Jeremy Smith.
Influential stand-off Jamie Soward was unable to inspire his Dragons side to victory on the weekend, as the Saints slumped to a 28-10 defeat.
Wests Tigers’ fan’s hopes will again rest heavily on the shoulders of skipper Robbie Farah, who also donned X Blades as his side completed their pre-season preparations with a heavy defeat at the hands of the Roosters.
X Blades have led the way in bladed boots since the company invented them in 1989, and with a strong-hold in Rugby League circles and an increasing following in other codes, the forward thinking company looks destined for big things in the coming years.
