Young Gloucester player bags a brace wearing New Nike Mercurial Vapor IXs

Young Gloucester midfielder Henry Trinder is one of the first players of note to don the new Nike Mercurial Vapor IXs, scoring a brace of tries against Mont de Marsan in the striking new Fireberry colourway.

Designed for speed, the lightweight boots from Nike feature a unique two-piece glass fibre sole-plate which enhances flexibility and responsiveness, while stability is a given with an innovative upper that locks the foot in place.

Twin studs at the rear of the boot, mixed with highly responsive blades ensure players can change direction whilst maintaining top speed, while the boots feature a textured upper which aids kickers by creating friction with the ball.

Trinder, who is in the England system and is definitely in the running for higher honours in the near future, had previously sported Nike ID Superfly IIIs, individually customised to match the colours of his Gloucester team’s kit.

Gloucester’s comfortable 36-16 win over Mont de Marsan cemented their place at the top of their Amlin Challenge Cup group and earned them a date with Biarritz Olympique Pays Basque in the Quarter Finals.
